Anytime your user successfully submits an embedded form some extra metadata is added along. This can help you put the entry in context better. You can view metadata for an entry by expanding/clicking it. Metadata is also available in the webhook payload.


Every entry comes with an identifier key. This is a unique key that you can set manually and is otherwise created for you and stored, as a cookie, locally.


What date and time they submitted the form. The timestamp is in the UTC timezone. Example: 2022-01-01 00:00:01 UTC.


On which page did they submit the form, without the query/search params. Example:


The IP address they submitted from. For privacy reasons the IP is masked, meaning the last octet is set to 0. Geocoding is still possible, but only slightly less accurate. Example: 123.456.7.0.
