Follow Ups are meant for those queries that need a bit more work. When such an email comes in, you can first reply directly letting them know you will follow up later and then add them to a Follow up.
A Follow Up is like a mini-project management tool. You can:

- add tasks
- add comments
Another common use-case for Follow Ups is to keep track of feature requests. As requests come on, you add them to the Follow Up. Once the feature is released, it’s easy to email all interested contacts in one go with the Email or Reply All option.
